I'm going to guess that you found this one CRHing. There appear to be some bin marks on this one. To me I would consider this to be full steps, but I'm not a full on expert or specialist. I can see how some ultra selective collectors might consider this not full steps because of the slight gap at the left of the bottom step.

This coin seems to not have much wear. What is the date and mm? From the level of detail I'm guessing this is a post 1967 coin.

This is a 2015D I got in change today. Does the date matter if it is full steps?

I'm pretty sure you can find them for most, if not all dates, but they are generally sought after in older years with lower mintages where the number of full step coins surviving to the current day is more limited. A coin that is a few years old that was minted in the billions wont be too collectable in our lifetimes because there are just so many of them that out there surviving in good condition. Instead of buying it from you somebody could just wait to get one in change.

Looks like FS to me, but still a spender coming from circulation.

Thank you for your reply. It seems communication today extends beyond the literal. Coin collecting as a hobby has given way to how much can I sell it for . I note very few nickels with "full steps." I picked this one out of change as the step area seems well struck. However, the 4th step is slightly short on the left. The bottom of the steps is not full.

I have a collection of RPM and DD War Nickels. Some have less steps than this example, but are TPG'ed as full steps. Just trying to get your input as to what it takes for full steps. The value of this coin is not the question, or is it?
