I found this and thought it almost looked similar to the DD I saw online so I just wanted to see what anybody else thought and sorry about the image quality

It would be helpful if you cropped the photo image to remove the unnecessary background ...

I am unable to judge by your photo the existence or not of a double die ... but will go out on a limb and state this appears to be the desirable 1970-S small date variety.

We'll need better photos to confirm ... but you might have a nice coin here.

This is a small date, I'm pretty sure about it. Nice find, especially in that condition! A keeper for sure.

I agree on LD (LIBERTY too strong). But I had to take a second look; the glare on the loop made it look SD for a minute.

Pocketmom, to the Forum. You can use the free image optimizer here at the forum to crop your picture. That would probably make the penny visible enough to make the determination on the doubling.

It doesn't look like a Doubled Die to me. Here's one of Coop's pics that should help.

If it is not obvious, you can usually determine the normal size by comparing to a coin of the same year.

I said small date based on the inside of the 9, but I guess it was just the lighting. It definitely looks like a large date in the second picture.
