While I don't actively collect these coins, being a coin collector I cant help but to look for errors. This thread will be dedicated to the questionable change I have accumulated over the week. Will add coin(s) to thread I have found "interesting", and have a question about. So please check back from time to time. Ok 1st up is a 2000D LMC. It appears to have an "extra" leg in the R in Liberty on obverse. Is this an error or die chip, or both? Thanks in advance for any and all opinions....Mont.

ok This one is a 1989 LMC. Think I found my 1st die clash in a LMC There appears to be a small clash in between the 4th and 5th column on the reverse from viewers left. Lower left hand corner. What do you think? I Know it is nothing special. I am just trying to get better at spotting such things. Thanks again...Mont BTW. If you see something on any of the coins I post in here that I missed PLEASE let me know.

On the 2000 there looks like there might be some Feeder Finger Damage on Memorial area above the East side above the roof running NE-SW. It should be raised. If not it is a stain. No premium for this one though. But you might like to take a look at it?

Ty Coop. I did take another look. Those marks are scratches that have stained over.
The mark on the 1989 does appear raised under my loop.

Mont, a good tool for clashes is an overlay. It overlays ghost images of obv and rev of a coin to show you where devices line up to the opposite side of a coin. Google "Lincoln Memorial Overlay" or whatever coin and click the image search tab then you'll see a bunch of overlays. Using that method, a Google overlay image tells me that your 89 does have a clash in the bay from lincolns hair at the neck junction

Ty guys!! woohoo found a clash. Now I got another one not sure what this is call. But it is definitely raised. 1999 LMC. Has scratches all over and this one and something going on on the reverse. It extends through memorial as well you can see outline of it in between 1st and 2nd column. Get very faint below this point Is this error or PMD? Keeper?

I would consider it a spender as well. The obverse has scratches where a mint employee polished out probably a clash mark. The reverse has Feeder Finger Damage. Neither of these occurrences are rare or add any value. See Coop's post above. Still Lookin.

ok ty. This looked a little more "uniform" than Coop's pics so wasn't sure, but had a feeling. Getting better at spotting errors versus PMD though. that's what counts for me.

It takes time to train the eye. You will get to the point where you will see stuff too minor. But you not there yet.

That's one thick arse gouge plus another in the bay on the 99. I'd bet you'd get a few bucks for it on the bay. Especially with such a polished obverse too. Alot going on with that one. My gut says someone will see it and want it for a few bucks

Ok got another LMC. 2003 D Is this considered a " Greaser" or is this PMD? The date is really worn and the MM is almost gone. Same kind of marks on reverse lettering as well. Is it PMD? All opinions welcome Thanks...Mont.
