Thanks Coop. I guess all laminating is "Pre strike". Just that sometimes the pieces wiggle off.

I've had this theory that the upset process loosens the laminations during that process. (if there was an issue with the stock material) Then after the strike (sometimes before the strike) it falls off or peels off a little at a time.
