Possible 69 S Double Date Cent? - Coin Community Forum

GamerMykee New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 05/19/2016 11:47 pm Hello everyone let me start by saying I am new to coin collecting and I am trying to learn what to look for when it comes to key date and error coins. I recently heard about the 1969 s cent double die and found this when I checked my 69 s coins. It is pretty faint but it only appears on one of the 3 69-s' I have. It appears to be slight doubling around the 96 in the date. Sorry if the picture isn't the best I took it with my phone. I would appreciate any insight into this. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/20/2016 12:24 am That is one with the common machine damage on the devices.Here is what you are looking for on the big DDO for this year. Yours is not the DDO. The 1968-1972 cents had a lot of MD on them. The classic reduced size of the devices are the give away. Take another look at the example I posted.
