I don't see a match. But to me it looks like MD on the top of the mint mark and a horizontal die gouge.

Those images tell me it is a normal mint mark.

The top one is show a coin contact mark on the upper serif. You can see it continue on the 'E'.

The loser serif looks like a piece of the rim was cut and is now leaning on the lower serif area. (note the inside rim area. there is some if it missing and moved)
