I'm going to end up with entirely too many of these. This will be #3 in my box of GSA 1884-CC's. 1884-CC GSA Morgan, OGP, etc. Frostier than the other one, but nicer surfaces IMO, and that strike is killer. Let's see how this one fares vs. the one I posted earlier. (Scratches on cheek area are on the holder; rev. has a print at 7:00-8:00 also on holder in this picture, confirmed by other pictures from seller that show no prints on coin) Member ANA - EAC - TNA - SSDC - CCT #890 "Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossible before they were done." -- Louis D. Borderline 63/64. I'll call it a 64.

you're on a tear my man! I am loving all of these Morgans. I wish I had so many! Great coins.

Nice pick Adam. Easy 64 in my opinion. I'll bet most of the chatter on the check is nothing more than frost breaks. The roller marks on the cheek are a cool stamp of the somewhat primitive planchet preparation.

It is indeed frost breaks. Thinking about sending this one to PCGS. I would expect 64+. I just purchased a 85CC in PCGS 64+ so that is going to kill my Morgan budget for a couple weeks. This one is nicer than my VAM 4 84CC, by about a grade point, and I haven't got the other 84CC I just bought yet.

Are those nicks and scratches from the jaw line up to the central portion of the cheek on the holder?

Most are on the holder; coin has a few small nicks on the neck and a slightly larger one on the cheek. It's normal with clashed Morgans and especially GSA bag coins. The fine parallel lines are roller marks.
I'll get this one graded next time I do a submission.
