I picked these up as a pair, mostly because each is in much better condition than I usually see. Both are 90.27% fine.

The one on the left is a 1903 Cn (Culiacan) 5 centavos. There are several overdate varieties for this, and it rather looks to me like this particular specimen is 3/1, but it's hard to be sure, especially since that type is not cataloged with the "V" assayer mark.

The other is a 1900 Zs (Zacatecas) 20 centavos. All these are supposed to be 9/8 but I'll be darned if I can make that out. Note the prominent die crack on the reverse. At just 96,750 struck, I think this might be a bit undervalued in the various guides.

Nice. I like this period too.

I figure an 1867-1905 type set would be about 20 coins and not expensive in circulated grades, though there are a couple of early 5 and 10 centavos that I've never seen for sale anywhere.

Early types 5c and 10c are tough now. Collectors in Mexico are into type sets. I think mine came from the wild west days of ebay but would have to check receipts. Nice collections used to go public, now its pretty much private treaty and/or to an auction house. The coin I'm looking for will not be on ebay.

Lucky - you might have a discovery piece. I found a 1c 1903/2 Mo, NGC said it was true and slabbed it MS65 BN.
