Just found this yesterday. Can be seen with the naked eye. Cant tell if this is some sort of die break or what? any ideas?

I see some of the evidence of worn die effect on the sides. But the bottom of the bust to the rim looks different from anything I have seen before. The experts can fill us both in.

The typical ring we often see on Die Deterioration is present. But the bottom of the bust area is new to me.

I have not seen anything like it. when looking at it under magnification you can clearly see something vein like and below that the bust looks faintly there

yes the reverse looks normal. I will post up pictures of the reverse this afternoon. I was going through a box of pennies I got from the bank and this just stuck out like a sore thumb
