The gray next to the columns is split plating. Pretty strong blockage on obverse.

In this image it looks like the plating is still there. just thought I would throw it in.

The gray is where the plating is split. Deterioration of the plating and the exposed zinc will continue until it becomes a copper color Hershey's kiss wrapper.
