The end times are near...

"MS-62" Victorinus AE Ant!

I don't think ANA grading standards were around in the 3rd c. AD but you never know...

The scourge of Coin Collectors everywhere is now roaming the hallowed volumes of RIC...cover your As, hide your sestertius in the basement, & then get the denarius out of here before it's too late.

Just a little levity for CCF on a slow Tuesday.

The sad thing is that novice collectors fall for these bogus slabs and wind up paying way to much for the coin.

Just one of many reasons that ancients do not belong in slabs.

Surprised it avoided a details designation with that scratch on Victorinus' cheek.

He did have some nice Chinese cash that was appropriately graded, but they were bid up more than they were worth.

He has dabbled with ancients for a few years. I bought a couple of items from him and the slabs live up to expectations in that they fell apart in the envelope en-route to me. His grading is awful but as long as you are buying these for the coin and know what you are looking at then he can occasionally work out.

NNC is run out of the basement of a scourge on the numismatic community. A one time winner of PCGS grading contests that went to the dark side and started slabbing cleaned coins in high ms grades to sell online. He goes by centsles on ebay
