Does anyone here know if the thread pitch of an M42 male adapter is the same as the thread pitch of an M42x.75 male adapter?

I need an M42 male adapter that will fit into an M42 female mount. It needs to be cheap enough for me to risk drilling into its flange for secondary mounting to an Olympus 14mm extension tube.

Anyone know what to use to do that?

I think M42 (Pentax/Praktica mount) is usually 42mm x 1mm, while T-mount is 42mm x 0.75mm.

My memory agrees with what pepactonius said.

I suspect such an adapter might be challenging..... Perhaps you can get what you need by cannibalizing a M42 extension ring set

Thank you austrokiwi, what a perfect solution! I was down to a $25 adapter from the Russian Federation, and the tube set comes in with a thin ring and two more that I can use as extension tubes anytime. Yet all that at less than 1/6 of what the adapter was going to cost. Finally I will be able to connect my Olympus bellows for the high mag stacking setup.

Need I say that a tube set has been ordered (which won't get here for another month)
