What is going on with this Lincoln Cent. I do not know much about all of the different errors. Any help is appreciated.

Conner, hard to tell. Two things come to mind, struck thru grease and maybe buried coin suffering from corrosion. If you can crop your picture to the size of the coin and show a shot of the reverse it would help alot.

Morgan...The back of the coins is in perfect condition. Would it be a laminate issue? I like the coin alot. Its different. It almost looks like flames over lincolns head.

Lamination is when part of the copper peels away on the coin. That doesn't appear to have happened on your coin. More likely a strike thru. Grease, cloth, or even just damaged. Larger picture is needed to make a better evaluation.

From what I can see it looks like it was dipped into acid? The acid takes off layers of the coin evenly, leaving less thickness, less width and the rims are affected sometimes to the point of being sharp. Maybe another image might show something else.

Environmental damage. Could be acid, but nobody knows for sure. Only thing that is for sure is that the mint didn't leave that problem on that coin, it happened later.
