It looks like a Canada Day coin so I would hope it would ship in late June. I'm not sure about this design as the red leaves just seem to be an after thought. I just can't make a connection between maple leaves, ice flows and a polar bear. It appears to be an unnatural, nature image. At least the 2003 quarter with a polar bear and maple leaves was meant to be cartoonish/symbolic. This one just seem to be a misstep. Maybe I'm missing the back story that explains it?

I just received an e-mail that mine were shipped today, but didn't see it listed yet on the mint's website.

Got directed here from another thread. The coin looks very attractive. I will probably order a few, especially since it's a face value exchange thing.

Quote: I will probably order a few, especially since it's a face value exchange thing. If you like the design - go for it. In the Rep mail this coin called "150 Anniversary Canada" - probably some joke or mistake. But for the "face value exchange" - if you would check other big thread - this probably will not be your main reason.

I notice the $25 for $25 is the same size as the $20 for $20, including its Cdn $5.50 value of silver (1/4 ounce).
So other than price and face value, what's the difference between the $25 and $20? Is it just the application of colour?

My email included this nonsense: Commemorate Canada's Arctic sovereignty, legacy of exploration, stunning northern fauna and upcoming 150th birthday with this beautiful engraved and coloured coin. What a pant load. It's a polar bear on an ice flow with red maple leaves dated 2016. We haven't even celebrated our 149th national birthday. The 150th is at least 250 coins away in 2017. Polar bears live in the Arctic, maple tree do not and how is Arctic sovereignty or exploration represented by this coin? They really need to turn down the volume on the marketing machine. Maybe it's actually a father's day coin too. Or Penguins like ice and there is some on the coin so this must be a Stanley Cup coin. Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket. Mine were shipped a couple of days ago so they might arrive today. I'm not sure why but they are coming via lettermail. @WildflowerAb, yup the splash of colour costs $5 - it's the only tangible difference between 20for20 and 25for25.

Quite the stretch to hype the coin! Quote: What a pant load. It's a polar bear on an ice flow with red maple leaves dated 2016. We haven't even celebrated our 149th national birthday. Thank you for sharing, CC-Ottawa.
As always - better "in hand" But still - for people who keeps 20for20 updated. Another version of Polar Bear, just with some red cartoonish Maple Leafs...

Quote: The coin looks very attractive I beg to differ. The red leaves could have used a lot more deinftion, ie: colour over engraving, not a flat boring surface. None the less, I bought one this time around.
