Issued for circulation coins of the Pacific micro nations are often struck in the low tens of thousands.
Their mintage scarcity almost never leads to high numismatic value.

In fact, they are quite commonly found in dealer's junk boxes in Australia, although I guess that they may almost never turn up in Europe or America.

Ores and Kroners of Greenland almost never turn up in dealer's junk boxes in Australia, but I guess that they may be commonly found in Denmark.

depends on where you are getting your numbers from,

catalog and ebay asking values are ridiculously overpriced.

ebay actual finalized sale prices very affordable and realistic.

This was my whole point, on ebay for example are asking over 100 dollars for 5 kroner.and for 25 ore is over 30 dollars, so yes they are over valued.

Thanks for reply :)

If very few people collect them they will always be worth diddly. Specialized knowledge of your chose type may assist.I just collect coins I like in a pleasing grade. This seems to work for me.

I do shop a lot in Denmark (Copenhagen) when on stopovers at the airport there (really, there's a coin shop or 3 at less than 20 minutes by metro from the airport). According to my experience, Greenland coins are not commonly found in junk bins here, you still have to explicitly ask the coin shop staff if they have any.

Australian money actually gets in the junk bin here, just like a few Pacific ones (I actually got a few Fiji coins in my last 5 kg bulk).

Anyway, I can imagine that Greenland is better known than for example Tonga, which might increase interest for the local coinage. For example, I once stated my interest in getting to Tonga, to which I got the beautiful reply 'Why would you want to go to Africa?'. -_-'

I hope it's OK to use this opportunity to ask for opinions of this coin, which I obtained fairly inexpensively in a mixed lot. Thanks in advance.

@otto, I don't have an opinion about the coin, but I do note that you should flatten the staples on that 2x2 as otherwise, they might scratch the surface of the coin next to this one. If you store your 2x2s in sheets in a binder, it is still a good idea to flatten them so that they don't catch on the pocket as you are sliding them in and out.
