Hello I question on this quarter I came across. I was wondering if this is an error or somehow it got pressed together with another coin.

Hi Jacob and welcome to CCF! I'm guessing that the mods will move your post over to the US coin section so that it gets a proper looking at, but my initial thought is that someone was bored and decided to deface this quarter by hammering a chisel or some other linear object onto poor old George's face. You can see the flat marks on the rev of the coin.

Yep, I've moved your thread tot he Errors subforum but sorry, it's not an error. It's "post-mint damage" or " PMD", meaning that it's a perfectly normal coin that someone's smashed at with a screwdriver or something. By someone who seems to dislike Washington.

PSD (Post-Strike-Damage) it didn't leave the press looking like that. It was altered.
