MONETA NOVA ARGENTea Ducatus BATen(bergensis)
FERDInandus ROMAnorum IMPerator SEMper AUGUSTus
If it is Batenburg it should be the Bronckhorst dynasty.
But I can not find a Ferdinand.
It looks like the Austrian crowned eagle with the imperial orb

edit
I found a coin from Joost Maximiliaan of Bronckhorst-Batenburg (1617-1662), with the title of Ferdinand III
Perhaps you should look in that direction...

I Krause one place to look is Gronsfeld under German States, but I don't see a match for this coin in the 3rd edition of German Coins or the 4th edition of 1601-1700. The family had some connect to Zutphen, but nothing similar there.

I didn't find any other lands Jobst Maximilian owned, but I did learn he was a cryptographer.

Here is the reply from Arie:
16th century
Seigniory Batenburg (The Netherlands)
3 Kreuzer nd (after 1558)
William V of Bronckhorst (1556-1573)
Literature: Van der Chijs XV-55

The 3 arms are of Batenburg, Bronckhorst and Stein.
Since the title of emperor Ferdinand is on the coin, it indicates that it is struck in or after that year.

The lords of Batenburg often placed the emperors title on their coins to get his support of course
This coin type is not on my website. Can I use your coin in the Identification Section?
If so, it will be online in 3 languages within 2 weeks.

Kind regards,
Arie

Thanks Arie
