1946 S LWC Inverted Mint Mark?

Not sure about this but the MM looks different. Does it look inverted?

I think the top serif was just flattened and spread by a hit at some point.

The shape of the bottom part of the mint mark is the wrong shape for an inverted mint mark:
1946-S-LWC-Inverted-Mint-Mark?
Note the shape of that area should be more rounded like an ellipse?

Man these are tough...the images coop posted made me think even more that it is inverted. It's damaged and worn but to me looks like ball serif #1

Locations of the mint marks are different than #1.
