Once or twice a week I hit a few local coin shops.
I search through their foreign silver buckets, and
pick out some coins that I think will go good in my box.

Sorry Jbuck ... I forgot to mention the Ikes

Last time I counted my Ike box I saw that some of the
year/mint rolls were short a couple coins ...

these will help complete the rolls.

If you are looking through dealers' junk boxes, it should pay to also be on the lookout for World bronze coins before 1950, in EF or better condition, and perhaps Fine or better condition for any bronze coin before 1900.

The only Ikes I come across are the copper cored clad ones. . The just get in the way, when I am looking through the cheaper priced per item junk boxes. I have just one of those, but at least it is in top condition.

I do like the older copper/bronze coins, and do pick them
up when I find them.

I am on the fence about weather I should put some of them
into this box.

I think if I do find a treasure chest looking box, that is
a little bigger then I will put some of the old copper in.

For this box I am pretty sure that it might not hold 200oz.
So I dont want to take up space with old copper.

I do think some of them would look great in a box like this.
For example, big silver dollar size copper
coins like these (from memory, so I hope I have these right)

1768 5 Kopec Russia
1781 1 sol France
200 cash coin China
1797 One Pence Great Britain
And many of the Early Queen Victoria big copper coins

I would welcome any opinions of if adding older big copper
to this box.

It is a 1902 O

I pulled it out of a box of Morgans. It had a layer of grime
on it. I use Verdi-care on it. The proof like surfaces came
out.

Really is a nice looking Morgan now.

That coin puts my Morgan/Peace stack to 95. Not counting
the ones in the Dansco's, or slabs.

Have a back burner goal of having a 500 coin (Monster) box
of Morgan/Peace dollars.
