The "Canada only" requirement for the 36mm silver dollar surprised me. I was speaking with a RCM rep and half-way through an order before he realized he couldn't place it for a US address. I expect other outlets that do ship to the US will have the coin available in the coming days.

The 36mm SD's rim is unusual in that it mimics the 11-sided rim of the loon dollars. I believe it's the first time since the 1997 "Flying Loon" SD that the RCM has used this style rim on a 36mm SD. The 1997 coin marked the 10th anniversary of the first year of the "loonie." This new one is meant to tie in to the "Lucky Loonie" design that Canada has been issuing since 2004 as a summer or winter Olympics commemorative.

Also noted that Canada, Dollar and Date are on the obverse with Elizabeth II DG Regina. Strange looking with the 11 sided inner rim.
I was charged $2.95 shipping + HST $0.45 for the 5 Pack of Lucky Loonies.

Think these will still be for sale come July 1? I want the two silver coins but thinking of delaying my purchase so they count towards next year's MC total!

Does anyone know if there will be a coin exchange with the Lucky Loonie? Or a collector's card?

I'd think most likely they'd still be for sure. Plus RCM always indicates how many are sold past about 75% so you'd know when it's approaching sellout in advance. And

What happened to the old school SD collector?
There was a time where a 10000 mintage would have been gone in a blink.

If you're attempting to key in a maximum order, we've been down this road already this month when the Maze coin didn't sell out.

Yeah. So, the RCM is releasing in batches now because of people using the technique? Sneaky.

......using the technique
I think there's just too many variables to call it a technique. For it to be so, one has to assume that RCM produces the announced mintage of every issue all in one batch because they're able to predict each is going to be an online sell-out in advance.
