I picked up a pack and also ordered the silver loon (I have all the silver loons in my collection).

The past ones are stil on my "keep an eye out for" list but I think it's an excellent extension to a circulated Loonie collection. Did anyone notice the smaller photos of the 5-pack on RCM's website? It appears maybe the plain plioflim/envelope with the annoyingly large, oversized information insert has been redesigned into one tidy compact package. Quote: I picked up a pack...
Yes, no?

@wildflowerAB Thanks for the reply! I definitely will follow these websites closely. And yes, I like Canadian coins very much!

Just received the RCM 5-pack and it comes in a slightly different envelope (two folds with an inner slot). The coin is OK, will be waiting to see the 2016 silver loon since it is a new design.

My pack arrived, the Loonie is nice. I really like the newly styled packaging as well, so much so that I don't intend to cut one of them out to add to my Loonie collection, which sort of defeats the purpose of buying the pack .....

As others have noted, they are nice looking circulation coins and improved packaging. Just too bad they shipped them on June 30....last MC qualifying cycle.

I also received my set today, and I think it is the best looking circulation loonie the Mint has released in the last few years. The matte finish used in the background gives an 'almost' specimen look to the coin. I like it a lot.

That's a perfect description, the offset finishes give this particular Loonie a distinct classy appearance, different from all the rest. It would be a good thing if it helps to spark interest in Loonie collecting, to serve as an introduction to the hobby in general.

Just an FYI that these coins are in the wild. Got four last night in change at the CFL Redblacks game.

I just got my loonies this morning. The packaging is great. I really like what they did with the packaging. It is the best circulation lucky loonie I have seen. I like both the finish and the design. These are keepers! I do need to use a loupe to go over them. What is the quality like? What do collectors think of the quality of these loons?

re quality this weirdness was in my set: looks like a nasty bag mark to the eye, but at high magnification it looks to my untrained eye as if it's a scrap metal shaving that got laminated onto the coin when it was minted.... but then, I've never spent a lot of time looking at high res bag marks so maybe that's all it is after-all... :)
