Not counting special set.

From 1986 through 2005 there were two type of American silver Eagles ( ASE)

Bullion version - no mint mark and looks like a uncirculated coin.

Proof version - Has mint mark and a cameo proof finish

Starting in 2006 the mint add the burnished coin, and continues
with the Bullion and proof coins.

The Burnished version - has a mint mark and more of a satin
finish than the Bullion version. The key to knowing the burnished
coin is the mint mark.

Proof and burnished ASE's are sold through the mint store.
Bullion coins are sold by approved bullion dealers.

And it's the w mint mark gr58 is referring to and it's located on the reverse-not sure what 'wrong back' you are referring to tho?

I forgot the wrong back question.

For 2008 the mint made some changes to the reverse of the
burnished ASE. So there is a 2008 with the new reverse
and some 2008 with reverse of 2007.

Some regular proofs have a W mint make too though as well as S mint marks. The burnished and regular bullion ones look very similar to the point that the W is the only way to tell. So if it'd a shiny proof woth a W its a proof, if it looks like a regular ASE and has a W it's a burnished.

The burnished ones look like regular ASEs but they have a W mintmark. This is one that I got from a dealer who didn't realize that it was a burnished coin...

You do have most everything you need to know from this thread with regard to bullion, proof, and burnished. There's more to learn though. Keep looking/learning.
