After my dad died, and then one year later to the exact day, my mom died, there were some coins that, after my sister and I divided up, I never got around going through. What's left that I haven't gone through yet, is a sandwich Ziplock bag of LWC's, that were my mom's... (which were my Grandpa's) A sandwhich bag of mixed silver coins... (mom's/Grandpa) Another bag of mixed silver coins that were my Dad's. So 3 bags total, and I'm starting the L.W.C. right now. I decided months ago that I did not want to keep anything separate. You know, like, this collection was my dads...this collection was my moms...and this one is mine. (My mom & dad divorced when I was like 4 years old). I'd rather my daughter just looks at "one" entire collection someday and realizes that part is her Great-Great-Grandparents...her Grand-parents...and her parents coins. FIVE generations of coins (counting her own) that she will see and have and appreciate and treasure. (I hope) I expect nothing but common Wheats and basically junk silver, but I'm starting these wheats shortly and will report any decent finds of course. This wasn't all the coins from my parents, by the way, just what I have left to "go through". I don't have any boxes of coins for CRH'n...and I'm bored and need something to do ! ... Put it off for long time...after tonight...finally all finished. ..

Ok...the Lincolns took awhile.... (looking for errors, etc.) The Lincoln Wheat cent Report242 -- 1950's --(P, D, & S mints) 116 -- 1940's --(P, D, & S mints) 1 -- 1934 So, even though I tried to keep my expectations low, I was sure hoping there would at least be some early dates in there. Almost seems like someone picked all of them out... (My sister wouldn't have done that though) Ohh well. It's 12:37 am for me, I'm tired...the 2 silver bags must wait ! (I dumped the bag that was my moms... Some Peace dollars...Mercury dimes...Rosies...nice pile of '64 Kennedy's...half a dozen War Nickels...few more odd & ends... Closer look tomarrow!

Yeah, that 1872 - I.H.C. key date has me pretty excited ! -- I'm definitely gonna take some pics of it and put up here for grading/value opinions. It's in really decent shape, I'm guessing/hoping our CCF I.H.C. guru's will say upwards from $100.00 ! -- but we'll see. Regardless, I'm happy because that one coin made up for ALL the common ones... Other reason I'm happy, is because after my career of 26 years ended, I had to sell ALOT of my coin collection. Some of which was all of my Washington quarters from my Dansco. Now I have a "re-start" opportunity there, (although they are basically junk silver quality, they will fill a hole for now.) Not enough Merc's there to re-start those. (Although one single coin is technically and literally a start, lol) Not enough Peace dollars to re-start. Sold my A.S.E.'s too....none here. No Morgans in the bags... (I have 15 or so remaining, but they're common--sold my best ones of course) Sold my Lincoln pricey keys too, but I certainly did not think I'd find those in mom or dad's little collections...lol (Enough about "what I lost" having to sell so much)... So, anyway, I have my dad's junk silver bag yet to go through. At a glance, there are no silver dollar size coins at all in there. Looks like Rosies, quarters and such...we'll see tonight after I get home from work.

JB... lol...The Ike's would be classified as "spenders", apart from you and now me, since they're inherited. I also got a brown box Ike from mom's batch, which was my grandpa's. It has the typical "clouding" tarnish, that's common to them. And, i'll have to check later, but I may have kept my Eisenhower collection. I honestly cannot remember! So, if I did sell it though, with these coins, I technically could re-start an Eisenhower collection too...lol (hate to have to buy another Dansco for them though, if I sold them, the Dansco would have went too... )

Well, you need to look for that Eisenhower Dansco of yours and if you did sell it you need a new one. You should not be without an Eisenhower dollar collection.
