Trying to keep the costs down so I am hunting for the cheap ones first. Got the first one for $15.95.

Wel, conrats. Welcome to he obsession hobby. Not too long ago I bought my first morgan, (a '21-P) and gave $30 for it after shipping. I just had to have it. Then the next day I ended up buying 4-1921-P's for $60 after shipping. It was just too good of a deal to pass up. And, I mean seriously, is it possible to have too many Morgans?

Nice coins, I myself will soon start my morgan collection, but first I have to finish off some newer coins

Morgans and Lincolns the most collected coins. Morgans because they are readily available inexpensively. Nice coins I am also putting a cheap set together.

The Liberty Heads are my favorite *commonly available/easily findable* coins. My first was a 1879, I too go for common dates right away. Nice job, beautiful coins.

These are Morgan dollars ,,Liberty Head refers to the Nickels issued from 1883-1912 also known as V nickels .

Way to go MarkJ! Those big old Morgan cartwheels are just awesome. One of the US Mint's outstanding designs and they made so many of most dates that we can afford to collect em. As you grow your collection I suspect you will start to look for the best uncirculated examples you can find as well. Good luck!

Congratulations. I remember buying my first Morgan dollar in July 1968. It was an 1878-CC choice uncirculated. I paid the handsome price of $15.00 for it. Two years ago I paid $23.00 to have it graded by NGC. It came back MS 64. Morgan dollars are beautiful. I have been fascinated with them since I first saw pictures of them in a coin book in 1967.

Congratulations,
I just got my first a week ago as well. It's a PCGS graded MS-64 1885 O. I paid about $70 for it, and shortly afterwards realized I overpaid; at least until it arrived in the mail. The dull matte gray coin in the picture is in fact gold, red, and deep sea green (the seller made no mention of any toning on the coin). My overpayment turned into a steal. Unfortunately I'm now addicted to toned Morgans, and may have a tough time keeping expenses down.

Nice work! You will quickly become addicted so forget about paying your bills. :) Seriously though, great coins and I am the same way!

Get out your check book MarkJ. One is never enough and 100 won't be too many.
