Quote: Free shipping is active on my MC account. I have been "upgraded" to non-MC Account, with annual purchase for the period below CAD150 from RCM (got Big Coin via Dealer), some bullion and concave Cassiopeia from RAM. very low level of the purchase, but this way I more happy, rather overstocking the space with "all that I like".

One would assume that MC members would take priority when it comes to fixing glitches with the website. What's the point in being a MC member if the MC section of the RCM website is inaccessible? You would figure the big spenders are the ones that will be buying the most items. Just plain silly.

Considering RCM holds the monopoly on NCLT, it's not like a business where we can threaten to walk out the door and spend our money elsewhere. Even if we buy NCLT through a dealer, it still profits RCM, the manufacturers of it. So considering NCLT isn't a necessity, our only option is to limit the amount of money we willingly fork over for their products. My gripe is their low level of customer service and their 1-800 access mode in general, non MC status, and I object to spending even more money in the hopes of getting treated better. Having to buy the right to customer service would not be tolerated by consumers in the general marketplace, the company would get eaten up by competitors.

Quote: Lately RCM advertises free shipping for orders more than $100 and not many items are priced less than that amount. LOL! Actually there are a lot of coins less than $100. In fact, more than 55% of all coins from the RCM are below $100. If you go to the Mint site under pricing, 127 out of 225 coins that are $100 or lower. All 1/2 oz silver coins are less than $100. The $20 for $20, the $25 for $25, and the $50 for $50. And many 1 oz coins are less than $100 too. Its great to get free ship for items like the $5 Lucky Looney 5 coin pack. Or just to get a single 1/2 oz coin without buying other coins to push the order over $100. Free shipping is one of the better benefits of being a MC member. No other dealer offer free shipping under $100.

True, there indeed are items under $100. And it's possible to order more than one item for a total of more than $100. While free shipping might be an attraction to some, being required to spend X amount of dollars is a deterrent for me. Otherwise shipping usually amounts to $8 per coin, still quite reasonable compared to money saved by spending more.

My Masters Club status has been reinstated. Still waiting for the $25 for $25 and sitting pretty at $0.00 towards next year's qualification. Seriously doubt I'll make gold then.

That horizontal achievement bar on RCM online accounts, progressing as money is spent, moving onward toward the MC target... It too much reminds me of various types of analysis or test results -- pass or failure, poor or satisfactory. The physiology of marketing, the tactics that RCM uses seem just a tad too obvious. Over the past year, consider me doomed

I was reading the rules for the Masters Club Platinum. It seems starting this new membership year, July 2016 to June 2017, there will no longer be a collector wooden coin case given as a free gift. I do not see the coin case anywhere as a benefit for platinum members, http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/custo....V4SMZ8u9KSMAm I mistaken?

@Coinplus, I think you are mistaken if the post from the first page of this thread is correct: Quote:For your participation in Masters Club Platinum during the 2015-16 Program Year, you will be rewarded in August with a beautifully crafted Royal Canadian Mint wooden collector case. As of July 1, 2016, you will earn 1.5% in Masters Club Rewards on every Eligible RCM Product** and you will receive a Masters Club Rewards redemption code***, redeemable for Eligible RCM Products.

MoneyPenny, if I'm not mistaken, I believe that wooden case is the award for the previous program year, 2015-2016. There is not indication that Platinum members of program year 2016-17 will receive the case, as shown (or not shown) in the chart of benefits. I was a platinum member last year but did not spend enough to gain Masters Club membership this program year and my email also said I would receive a case.

Per my post on page 1 of this thread, I am Platinum and there is no mention of a free case in the e-mail I received. The redemption percentage is only 1.0% in my e-mail.
There are levels within Platinum that don't seem to be explicitly identified on the membership benefits chart. It seems possible that regular Platinum do not get a free case but Prestige Platinum (over $5K) do. I guess it's a wait and see situation.
BTW, my spend graph for this MC period is still not reset so I guess the IT dept at the Mint still have some work to do. lol

CC-Ottawa, that is where it gets interesting. I was only a regular Platinum member last program year, and have not earned any Masters Club status for this year, but my email said I would receive the free case.
