She / he also has a 1928 Silver 25c that she/he claims is certified F12 but is in a 2x2. 262476144901Looks like ebay removed it.

That would seem to rule out my theory.

I checked out her other listings of things not sold. Found this to be a little funny. 262472163767In the reflection of the spoon, you can clearly make out an image of her. Definitely not the woman in the profile pic. So either another stolen picture or we have an actual picture of the culprit.

XWLCoins, can we call you Sherlock?
This seller, no proof, but pertaining to the source of the odd variety of items for sale and sold, more apt to belong to a senior....coincidently somebody used the word "crook" in describing the sale of the 5c. It all looks hinky.

I`m very glad to see forum members, helping, and looking out for each other, the possible culprit, hidden in plain view! Good detective work! LOL super interesting thread!

So PayPal will issue me a refund only if I ship it back to the seller. I need to provide tracking info to PayPal in order to get the refund. So now I'm out $10 in shipping costs to get a refund.

That is pathetic by PayPal. Well, you better get it out ASAP before the postal strike. Otherwise, it will cost a lot more with purolator or FedEx.

That's not right. XWLCoins, I know nothing about PayPal's return policy but ebay.ca's return policy indicated the Seller is responsible for shipping if the item differs than what's described. It's unusual the two polices would be different.... See question..."if a buyer is unhappy with a purchase......." http://pages.ebay.ca/sellerinformat...arantee.html

If you start a return request (Item Not as Described) but be sure to include pics of the coin you received, when the buyer accepts the return, he MUST send you shipping label which basically means HE pays for return shipping. You will be refunded your cost 100% no worries. If he doesn't send you a shipping label (agreement to pay return shipping) he has I believe 5-7 days to do this, you can escalate it to a claim. ebay will then step in, issue you a FULL refund and you can either keep the coin or ship it back to them at their risk. I rec'd a 1951 ICCS dollar with a cracked pouch last year. He said it was fine when it left but when I checked the photos, I could see the split was there before, I just hadn't noticed it. Seller said to send it back. I requested he pay for return shipping & send me a label. He did not. ebay stepped in when his time had run out & I rec'd a full refund. He then accused me of messing with him over...blah, blah and to now return the coin (again at my expense). I told him to send me $2.00 and I would mail it to him at his risk. He never got back to me except to say that I'm blocked from ever buying from him again. I resold the coin without the holder, what else could I do. Hope this info helps.

Return the item through ebay. Go to customer service and follow directions. Long story short you will receive a full refund including return shipping charges.
