Hope to get some help on confirming if this is a closed 9 & could be graded G4 or better...or worse. Buyer says he wants Expert opinion, so here I am. On my side, I would like to know what I could ask for this piece. Thanks.

It looks closed, but with the amount of wear, tough to tell for certain. I would probably pay in the $50-$70 range for it, the rim ding and scratches around the A are a bit much for my liking.

My opinion ----G4 $100 (rare date) and it will not make any difference re closed 9 or not

Looks closed to me
$70-80 would be a reasonable price as its G-4

Ok, thanks. That give me a better ballpark figure to work with and a good idea of what a G4 looks like. Will help gauge other coins in this condition.

Late to the party, but seems like a pretty standard G-4 I would say 70-100, normally I would have put it at the higher end of that but the rim ding will hurt the price. It's a key date so not hard to sell it for a decent price

I was worried that it was going to get an AG grade because of the Obv. but it seems that the Rev. might have saved it from that fate...lol
