Thought I would get some opinions before I toss it. Seems a little clean to be rot but it does look like zinc showing. Maybe a big bubble ?

If I had come across it during my searching I would have just considered it PSD. It looks like it is incuse so I would have thought it got stuck in something to gouge it like that. I need to pay more attention to things like this - is it actually raised.

Glad you asked that Coincents. Now that I look at it closer it is incuse and probably just took a hit. Guess I need to pay more attention.

It is a struck through error. Not PSD. If it had been post strike damage, it would have altered the obverse opposite that area. So JOhn1 nailed it on this one.
