Im not sure if this is a die error. If it is, what is it called and how much is it worth? Opposite edges of this 1970 D quarter are crushed in, deforming letters on both sides.

Note the rim (which should be round) is altered by PSD. That is the best way to tell. The only way the rim can form is from the die and the collar. With out the collar, the coin will not be rounded.
