Someone just gave this to me today. It's my first UK coin.

Obviously circulated.

Raw scan reduced to 72dpi.

A large, redundant 10 pence coin! I have some nice and shiny ones from out of a joblot... I think it was aroun 1992 they changed the size of the 10 pence coin to make it slightly smaller, though the reverse and obverse designs are the same as currently circulating 10 pences.

I picked up a 1993 pund coin for 0.5 USD this weekend. That is my kind of exchange rate. I need to find more at that price then I could afford to go to the UK right now. How much is a liter of gas there now. A gallon is 3.15 USD.

A gallon is just over £5 - about $10 here -- yikes

UK gallons are bigger than US gallons since the US pint only has 16 fl oz (UK is 20) So that makes a US gallon of petrol about $8.22 in the UK.

BARGAIN!
