I just started selling on ebay. Common coins, low value, nothing special at the beginning. First I put 10 centimes 1941 France on auction:

http://www.ebay.pl/itm/262513118551....m1555.l2649

but....

Entering throught Coincomunity:

first here:
http://www.coincommunity.com/ebay_t...tegories.asp

then here: coins world
http://www.ebay.com/sch/256/i.html?rmvSB=true

then on the left "Europe"
http://www.ebay.com/sch/256/i.html?rmvSB=true

then in search I entered: "10 centimes 1941 France"

then I chose from Format "auction"

and I got 8 - coins and there is NO my coin there

Anyone who start selling coins long time ago, know what I done wrong ? If my coins are not visible in search engine - there is no sense to put them on ebay : /

You're selling on the Polish ebay, ebay.pl, not ebay.com.

So ebay.pl / ebay.com / ebay.de are diferent sites with no conection ? So for what name them " ebay", lets name them for example "polish auction house site.pl" "german auction house site.de" etc.

Question-About-Selling-On-Ebay---And-Search-Engine

"caly swiat" - it means All the world - so If I have on my poor ebay.pl option to send to all over the world and I selected it, why ALL the world canot track my coins ? Its easy question.

What sense is that ebay.pl can see only peoples from Poland... or maybe ebay.com can see only people from USA, and .de only from Germany ? I was sending a lot of questions to ebay help team, they could not give me clear information.

I have had the opposite problem. I had a lot of trouble finding some Austrian coins. I searched ebay for hours because I knew that some one had to have the coins. But I had to start and stop the search repeatedly -- each time I got more sellers from more places. None of them were for the coin I wanted. I just kept rearranging the words in the search and finally I found listings for the coins I wanted.

I wonder how good the ebay translator program is.

Good luck. I hope you can get this fixed.

If I search geraltttt82, I find 62 of your listings.

If I search - 10 centimes 1941 France KM 897, I find your listing.

I am in the U.S., and it is the first of "29 items found from ebay international sellers".

I searched for France 10 centimes 1941 and then France 897 directly from the main site ( ebay dot com). Then, I found the relevant category for French coins using the directory and tried searching from there.

Your listing did not appear among the results that were shown to me in any of the aforementioned cases, even though all these words are in the said auction's title.

But when I put your username into the same search box, it did somehow find 67 of your listings...

The problem is that when I search your ebay listings (using the ebay link in your profile, easily accessed by clicking on the Question-About-Selling-On-Ebay---And-Search-Engine icon above your posts), I get "0 results in Coins & Paper Money" and then "68 items found from ebay international sellers."

The CCF search engine defaults to the 11116 category (Coins & Paper Money). If your listings are not in that category, or any one of its sub-categories, they will not be found.

How I canot be in the category coins and paper money when I chose such category "Coins paper money" -- > "coins" --> "Europe" - > "France", when I was upload this 10 centimes. Maybe important is that I never sold anything on ebay ? Or CCF engine is not set up on international sellers ?

There are a ton of variables that affect how each end user sees results. Right now when I click the ebay logo in your post I see 0 listings, but then see all your listings just below under from ebay international sellers. This is because I usually check off "from US only." So I will only see the international results if there is under a certain amount of US results.

The PL category is 11116 also so more likely you fall in the same boat above. If you click more refinements then Worldwide, you should see them all together....

Maybe I'll change the default for that link to that format....

Now when I click the ebay link that is above each post, I see a "worldwide" selection already made (and all items visible). If I cancel it, my results are the same as Jbuck's.

All of this makes you wonder - how many items did you miss because ebay's search engine didn't show them?

By the way, searching is one thing, but are these listings shown if you trawl through the relevant ( ebay dot com) category? Has anyone attempted to find them that way?

Now after first sell of coins appear new problem with ebay:

Buyer: "I am buying 60 coins from you, but they do not appear in my cart? They show in my notifications, but each shown US$4.24 for shipping charges (...)

My answer: "Please wait I will make invoices at morning"
<I send to invoices 40 coins + 6,40 $ shipping and 20 coins + 0 $ shipping --- by ebay system>

Buyer: Geralt: the coins that I am buying from you still do not appear in my cart. I would suggest that you post one coin for purchase, not for auction, but for purchase, with a price of (...) I will buy the coin and pay you right away.

My answer: please wait I will send invoices one more time
<again I send 2 invoices to him by ebay system>

AND still nothing...

so at the end I put one coin by "buy it now" and then everything was good, buyer could pay by Paypal.

I really would like what was wrong ? Anyone had such problem ?
