Still trying to post picture of reverse.The VDB looks ok, the S is what I am worried about.

That does not look like a genuine VDB from the SF mint.

The period after the is too close to the D and the B is the wrong shape.

If genuine it would be worth around $600 retail. It appears VF Details - Damaged and requires professional authentication.

This sort of thing could not be faked. If you were going to fake an SVDB it would not look like this!

VF details (environmental damage?). Not for everyone, but I'm thinking around $400 tops.

I've seen hundreds of fake 1909-S VDB coins. More than just a few "look like this".

The shape of the mint mark looks like an authentic mint mark. The position of the mint mark is good. But the VDB....it is like no authentic VDB I have ever seen.

If you get it authenticated, let us know the outcome!
