There is always a big step up in price from MS-64 to MS-65, but the difference is especially large for this date. I think the surfaces, luster, and cheek are good enough for 65, but will the weakness in the breast feathers keep it from reaching MS-65? I was thinking of sending it to PCGS, but if there is little chance of getting an MS-65 because of weak strike issues, it may not be worth it.

Zurie, I agree with your comments. With the large jump in price the soft strike will keep the coin out of a MS65 holder.

Definitely should be clean enough for a 65 but I would agree that the weak strike might take it down.

the luster across the cheek appears to be broken. could be lighting or photo. based on the pic I have to go MS64
