As the title states I'm moving to the UK between London & Oxford. I wanted to ask here in the US I'm us to finding/buying ASE, Maples, Aust. Kooks, Phils, China Pandas etc.. As bullion coins along with different private/government minted bars. Does the UK have similarities in regards to this? This there party parties selling maple leafs? Local coin shops abundant?

No,no and no.
You can obviously buy bullion but I don't think the coin market is similar to the US market. No rolls to hunt,Tpg is still not widely accepted or used.No set prices like grey sheets.Modern coins are mainly ignored but the RM are pushing modern coins and are getting a few bites.eBay is full of modern tat and flooded with counterfeit Kew garden 50p's and undated 20p's.
The good things are monthly fairs, auctions (not all are on the net) and you can also dig your own coins. At organised digs hoards have been found.Good coin clubs also exist.
You will be made welcome at fairs/clubs ETC.Plus the $ is currently strong.

In the UK silver coins and bullion are charged VAT at the standard rate of 20% while same gold products are not charged VAT.

If you buy coins outside of the EU, then you get to learn about customs charges and handling fees.

So what silver/gold bullion coins exist over in the UK? Would it be worth while to bring a few bullion coins over?

Indeed, the UK coin scene is quite different than here. I traveled extensively in England for 30 years and the opportunities (outside London) were very limited.

London would be my last choice to sought coins. You will need to feel your way into the market and antique outlets.Coin News is a monthly publication (token publishing) I subscribe occasionaly but the material it mainly covers is not my cup of tea.
