Hi All,

Has anyone ever scored a key or semi-key date from an order of junk silver from APMEX, Provident, JM Bullion etc etc?

No keys or semi keys for me. but I have gotten a few nicer than average condition coins from my LCS junk silver bins. AU and a few BU coins from the 1960s. I don't buy junk from online dealers. I like to pick my own. Last year I was able to put together a complete Roosevelt dime collection in XF or better from several dealers junk bins; the most expensive coin was $1.50. took less than three months.

Not an online dealer, but a few scores from my LCS junk bin. Like a very worn 1895 S Morgan paid melt price for it and sold it again for $70.

The orders in 90% US that I have received from Provident (over $100 face) have generally been heavily circulated common dates, really nothing that stands out.

No. But my coin shop's bullion cans had lots of G-VG early date Walkers 10 years ago. 1919-D, obverse date 1916 d and 1917 d and s, and all the 1923-1933 dates and mints. At that time they sold for $5.

Picked a cc out of LCS Morgan culls, sold it back the next week for more than double (but, to do it again, I would have kept it).
