Welcome!
Yes, I would say it has a value of $50-75 if sold directly to a collector. A dealer would offer less.

Thank you...my uncle moved to virginia and left me with about 3 hundred 1800s era dollars...and maybe 400 other old silver coins. Have no idea where to start! The tub is about 80 lbs of old silver. I am lost!

80 lbs of old silver!
That's a problem I wouldn't mind having.
Take your time sorting through it to make sure that you find all the good stuff. This opportunity may never happen again.

Have numerous NGC encased MS-70 graded 2006 50 dollar gold buffalos...first strikes...Whatever that means. NGC Ms-65 and 66 encased graded morgans. Some look a lot better that arn't graded or encased. Hundreds. Gonna have to hire an appraiser I guess!!

You should talk to your uncle.

I sure will. I can not accept these and feel honest. I don't think he fully understands the value. Do you agree? and thank you.

I would post more pics..but now it is all in a big gun safe at my fathers house...it'll be safe for him there. If he decides to ever call I can help the old codger market it or whatever. If I wasn't honest I suppose I could have a lot of cash on my hands....darn it!! Thanks guys!

Don't be to specific with your details. Talk to your uncle, make your decision, then have fun with your investment.

That much in a flimsy gun safe. You would be better off hiding it in the attic or something. Most gun safes can be broken into faster than it is taking me to write this. Btw, awesome stash! Now get it out of that bullseye target and hide it or rent a safe deposit box. Just my Two Cents

Perhaps the best course is to figure out the value of the coins first before bringing your uncle back into the equation.
