Tricky. An improved pic might be useful in this case; I can almost (but not quite) read the text in the centre. If that's right way up, then it looks like Greek - "MOTI-LEWN" or something similar. I tried running all the combinations of those and similar letters through the Wildwinds partial inscription search, but no luck so far.
If it's Greek, then it's Roman Provincial, because that's a Roman Emperor's portrait on the other side; looks like maybe Gordian III or another emperor from the mid-200's AD. And if it's Roman Provincial, then those eight letters are likely to be the name of the city of issue.
