Hi, I'm new here.
May I have your opinion on this 1989d dime?
It has an extra wide rim ( "collar" ?)
Is it worth anything?
Thanks,
Craigarj

Looks like a Dryer Coin to me, this means the coin got stuck in a dryer. This picture will help explain

Your dime was damaged unintentionally, probably falling out of a pocket during the dry cycle at a public laundromat. Coins get trapped and spun over and over, eventually flattening the rims. At some point they're found and put back into circulation.

Sometimes they are hammer down.hit with a spoon until it makes the rim wider.
The first clues?
The missing reeds.
Wider edge.
The devices closer to the rim. (pressing the edge widens the rim and eventually the rim edge is on the devices on the outside edge of the coin)
