I Can't get good pics of the 2004 nickel through the slab. But I have some pictures of the 1995. I have 3 more coins coming in the mail and most likely more after that

Very nice Dustin! Nice coins. That 95 penny is awesome. I want to see the 04 nickel. Maybe a lower watt light bulb would help, you can prop up the slab where the light hits it on about a 45 degree angle.

Coinmasters, the pics I get are blurry and discolored even with the lower watt and 45 degree angle. So, I got some pictures of what it looks like from NGC

Coop - you feel it's graded too high?

This is a Stage C specimen so the details will be a bit washed.

Well looking back the grade I was looking at was for the 'black beauty' What was the grade on the 1954-S/D? (I saw MS-64 and knew that couldn't be the grade for the OM) So what grade on that one?

Seeing the 2004 DDO Nickel reminded me of that event that happened so many years ago. It was thought that the end of the dual hubbed dies with the single squeezed dies would end the doubled dies. Wow that was a wrong thought. But that was the coin that got us seeing the light. You can read it on coppercoins chat here:

See if you can open it or not? If not, let me know and I will post those threads. If you have an account with them, you can still post there. But they get about 1-6 posts per year.

About Dustin6's coin: Has ANACS changed their holder style recently? I've never seen that one before.

A late Happy B-day Dustin. I very much like your taste in what coins to collect. The 54D/s and 95 DDO were some of the first errors I picked up when younger. After getting back into the hobby a few years ago I HAD to have a 74-D JFK DDO. I also really like the black beauties. And now you have me wanting a 2004 DDO nickel!

Great choices and nice specimens
