I can't tell if there is cheek/jaw separation but the reverse is pretty worn even though these are generally pretty weak. The portrait is usually the best indicator, like with the 1922D's, since the reverses can be weak.
VG8 to F12 at best based on what I can see.

It's a little fuzzy, but maybe F12 - could be environmental damage if that hole where the ear used to be is bad enough.

I believe you were right on with VG-8 only because of issues with the coin . Or one might say F-12 Details . Me personally , would rather call it VG-8 .

F12 also. it does look like it was cleaned a while ago so most likely would be worthy of a details grade

VG-10. Looks like someone tried to clean it at one time.
