I found this coin a while back and just kept in a safe place. I just want to know of it's worth anything and if so, how much?

What you have is a common date circulated Mercury dime . valued at little over melt .

Obviously, if you are looking for that particular date you will pay a bit more for it out of a dealer case. However, my local dealer has a couple 5 gallon buckets of dimes(many are Mercs) available for 16x face value right now so yes, $1.50-$2 is a correct valuation for a common circulated silver dime.

Really great. By me and at all the coin shows I go to I never see Mercury dimes for that little. Your lucky. I'm a Mercury dime person and buy all I can find. Now well over 3,000 of them. Sure wish they were that cheap by me.
