Unknown French Feudal Denier - Coin Community Forum

Bacchus2 Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2890 Posts	Posted 07/26/2016 05:55 am I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction for this feudal French coin. There's not a lot to go on lettering wise, but that odd sinuey feature in the circle might be enough to work from. The inscriptions appear to be B G VICECOMITES and MEDIOLAM and if so, then the attribution would be Biaggi 1458. That is a mezzo soldo of the Viscounts Galeazzo and Barnabo and dates from 1355-1378. I don't have any good referrences for this particular type of coin so I was strugelling to find it online. It came in a small group of French deniers which I'll post below when I get time - just for info.
