Hello,
I used to collect coins when I was around 10 years old and then forgot all about it. The week of my 33rd Birthday I went up in my dad's attic and found my old and very humble collection and it gave me a jolt of enthusiasm.
I looked through what I had with my father-in-law, and it turn out he also had an interest in coins in his teens and we then proceeded to drag his collection out of the attic.
Wanting to know more about what we had and its rarity/value, someone I know suggested this forum to learn a little more and perhaps get some advice and help from its members.
I am looking forwarding to finding out more about what was in teh attic.

 Glad you found your old collection! I had some coins from when I was a kid -- several decades ago -- and I am so glad that I kept them. They have no great value except they are precious to me. Hope you have fun learning about what you have. |

to CCF! My story is very similar to yours - found some old Whitman folders my grandfather had given me when I was but a wee lad, and I've been bit by the bug ever since.  |
