Thank you for that screen shot. The coin looks amazing!
@silveroid Why are we on this forum? What else do we do with coins? I COLLECT. What do you suggest I do with it? Maybe use it as a lapel pin? What a question to ask me!!
But you were excited and couldn't wait. So I thought - might be you have another use for it (gift, showcase somewhere, etc...) and not just put on the shelf / case with the many other coins. Cause to wait month or another doesn't really mater....
I think Silveroid's question has merit. I got to admit I'm rather curious as well. Almost every month the excitement builds over this coin or that coin - gotta have it, can't wait - then.......nothing. Onward to what to buy the next month. Not being rude but a need could be made for RCM to provide a warning related to Shop-O-Holics anonymous! LOL! Joking. But How do avid collectors display their past purchases, would make an interesting topic that is seldom discussed.

I think it is seldom discussed because it is best left that way. As much as people want to chat about their displays, they don't because they fear the possibility that someone may break into their home or office and walk away with the valuables. Most say they have their high end coins in safety deposit boxes but I highly doubt they do.
I do agree though... I think it would be a great topic to discuss.

That may be the sentiment for some, but I believe many here cherish their collections and enjoy their displays.
When someone states "I can't wait for this coin or that coin," I see that person as having a passion for collecting.
People use the phrase "I can't wait" to express their excitement for many things, including trying new restaurants, going on a dream trip, can't wait for Friday etc., etc.
Sometimes an expression is just that, with no underlying cryptic meaning.
Thanks for your comments. I think it was a matter of curiosity. Using the "can't wait for Friday" analogy.....typically it's followed by "because.....(going out, bad week, relaxing, etc)". In general terms, aside from the anticipation, opening the package from RCM that arrives in the mail takes only a few seconds so the excitement is likely related to something that follows the receipt of it.
@New1954. Nobody is making fun over what you buy. Everyone here brings their own unique perspective to the topic and asking questions of one another for th sake of clarity is to be expected on any public forum. For all I know you might be an avid Star Trek collector of other mementos as well, this forming the core of that collection... Also you've stated earlier that you spend $10k per year on NCLT, you've probably had many "can't wait" experiences so this one might be extraordinary for a particular reason? If you choose not to go into any greater detail, that's your business. It's just a general topic that often arises from time to time...the high buildup and anticipation of new releases followed by the next and the next each month, leading to massive accumulations and the eventually the realization that the high cost doesn't necessarily yield the same level of satisfaction on the long term. If you have a unique approach that works for you, it would be interesting to know what that might be.
Ok ok No one here make or tries to make fun of other members or what they do collect. But people just express their opinion regarding the coins and all around - packages, certificates, grading. So nothing wrong to ask the question, just not need to understand it in abusive mean.
