I metal detect and nickels that have been underground for many years can take on weird colors. Report this Post to the Staff

OspreyCoins Pillar of the Community United States 932 Posts	Posted 08/01/2016 8:11 pm A nickel is made of an alloy of 75% copper and 25% nickel. SO if it's in the ground, it can wind up looking like copper, because that's what it is. Report this Post to the Staff
