Hi First time I am here in this Forum. My sister-n-law brought me this Silver dollar today. She would like to sell it on ebay and asked if I could get some information on it. What ever details you can share and grade/value information is really needed and appreciated. thank you for your time. These images are from my computer micrscope camera - let me know what other pics or info you need to help me out.

A very nice coin, It's uncirculated, never been in anybody's pocket. And it is a very desirable date being a Carson City dollar. It is most likely a MS64+ coin. The slide marks on the cheek keep it short of MS65. An $900 dollar coin. You might consider a third party grader to grade it and slabe it.

Wow, well my mouth just dropped open I am sure her's will too. I did mention to her about sending it in the PCGS or ANACS and she asked me how it all works. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything worth sending in to anyone yet.

MS64, possibly an ex-GSA crackout. Solid or even choice in the grade. You need to get this one to PCGS, NGC, or ANACS asap and get it in a holder.

That's a cool thought, if it is sent in for grading would they be able to determine if it was in a holder before?

I'm at MS64 as well. Very Nice Morgan. Quote: if it is sent in for grading would they be able to determine if it was in a holder before? I don't believe so. The only way to tell the difference between GSA and non GSA Morgan dollars are the slabs.

Thank you all.
Can I sell it here through the forum and if so can someone send me the link on how to do so?

You have enough posts on here to sell. I would get it graded first before selling in my opinion, it looks like a 64 small shot 65. Probably was a ex GSA slab

I really appreciate the feedback. As I mentioned in my opening post, this is my sister-n-laws coin from her late husband. Right now she really needs the money. She isn't into the coin hobby that is why she asked me to help her find information on it sell it.
I just need to figure out how to do an auction on here.
