Fine sharpness lowed to VG for marks and cleaning. The 1804 Half Cent is the most common date in the Half Cent series. I don't know what you paid for this, but you could get a better coin for a little more money. Why no slow down and consider doing that?

Thank You for Your consideration billjones. My Dealer and I have a good relationship. He may have gotten the better of the deal on this one,but most of the time He gives Me a pretty good deal and it's usually in My favor. He also allows Me to trade up on coins that I have bought from Him.So if another one comes along that is better,I can use the price of this one,to upgrade. So I'm not too worried about it.Thanks again!
Besides,if I don't spend some money,the Wife will.

If you have that good a relationship, tell him you'd like to return it for store credit.

Please thank your grand-daughter - this is the first compliment I have ever had on my avatar!

More importantly, do return this and wait for a better example that you will not have to apologize for.

Eventually I will. When I have something to replace it with.Right now I'm in the position of the parent who lets the goldfish die while the kid is at camp. They have to replace it before the kid gets back or there will be big trouble with the little one.

Looking at the PCGS Photograde, it might be a lot higher grade that we are considering. When looking at the lower grades they are showing a lot lower grades than I expected.
