Forgive me for not posting a pic for this, I can do so tonight when I get home from work if it would help. I know very little about Rotated Dies errors, but late last night I found a 1940-S with a rotation of about 170 degrees CCW and I can not find it listed on http://rotateddies.50webs.com/census.htm or anywhere else for that matter (It is not the 129 degree rotation listed, I have an example of that coin and they are nowhere near the same). Has anyone seen one of these before? Are they not listed because they are common or scarce or the list is not comprehensive/updated? Thanks for your help.

Note: Looking at it now degrees...I am not sure of rotated degree at all. (Alas, it was real late when I found this last night). Could sure use help here as well, thanks!

Sounds like an awesome find Sudz - I don't think a rotated die of that degree would be considered common - sorry can't help you out with any information - But Congratulations

Anxious to see your photo! I have never found a significantly rotated die on a modern coin! That is one I really want to find!

Congratulations!

Not sure if I'm breaking any copy right laws. If so my apologies and please remove.

Did an overlay using the ROTO FLIP scale and made the following. Thanks, Doug.

The top center of the reverse on a normal coin without rotation would be at zero. This help illustrates how far CCW rotation is present on this one.

If I didn't mess it up that is. Thanks, Doug.
