Finally went through my little hoard of coins I gathered from vacation and stumbled upon this 1969-S - pretty rough, and I don't see double-die. However, a family member thinks there's still some value to this coin.

Is he right? Love to hear your thoughts (or convince me you see double-die and today's my lucky day :P)

I don't see double die.

If confirmed, then it's a spender IMHO.

First off, welcome.

I'm certainly not seeing anything special about this, and so am hard pressed to value it at more than 1¢.

Nothing special, I'd say. So the maximum value would be 1,5 cents, as the copper melt value is higher than face value nowadays.

As has been noted, a common coin. But if you need it for your album, it's a place holder until a better one comes along (and one will). Good luck and enjoy the hobby!

It is worth face value, but I save all of the LMC S mints I find. They are worth a penny to me.

IF saved for about 100 years it will appreciate much in value. I'd keep in just in case.
