New purchase for me. I am still trying to ascertain authenticity, and I will be reaching out to a couple dealers for this one. This type is fairly scarce, and if this authentic, this coin is one of the finest I know of to exist. Because it is so nice, and because the calligraphy differs from many of this type I have seen, I have doubts.

If someone can comment on the patina, that would be great. The last photo shows a shiny rainbow mineral deposit that reminds me of bismuth. Is this a good sign or a bad one?

The obverse character is "Jin," which loosely translates to "metal," though specifically the precious metals of gold and silver. The coinage of the state of Chu often had inscriptions relating to objects or ideas that were important to the society, so a relation to gold and/or silver is perfectly understandable.

Interestingly, there is a very obvious trace of a casting seam on the edge of this coin. This is the first time I have come across such a thing on ant-nose coins.

I really hope the coin passes muster with the experts. Let us know. I did miserably on your authenticity tests in the past, so my opinion here is worthless...but, anyway, the surface looks good to me.

As for "Jin and no tonic"...ugh.

Nice coin, I really know nothing about this type, but from the look of the patina it looks natural due to age and not faked.

Same here.

I do have a question about the through hole--it looks to me like it has been chamfered on both faces. The couple ant noses that I have I think are only chamfered on the obv. Maybe indicative of an over-zealous cleaner rather than a fake?

Good eye. Yes, that is not normal. I had noticed that the hole looked tooled when I had it under magnification. I haven't handled enough to know of that is a good sign or a bad one.

So far, I have gotten two "Probably fake" responses, and one "maybe real" response.
